The Context of Consciousness

The context of “consciousness” and what this actually means is a conundrum always worth exploring. So many concepts, propositions and theories and yet our understanding is so so limited and unproven in a scientific sense. This latest hypothesis from Neuroscientist and Psychiatrist Giulio Tononi provides a very credible and exciting possibility in helping extend our understanding as to what creates awareness and consciousness and might also help us to appreciate what level of consciousness other animals may have. And it even sounds understandable from a technical perspective as its called, the “Integrated Information Theory”. Definitely worth a read.
